Ingredients
- 3–4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 garlic cloves
- ¼ cup pine nuts (or walnuts)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a food processor, blend basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic, and Parmesan until finely chopped. Gradually add heavy cream while blending until smooth.
- Place the seasoned chicken in the baking dish and pour the pesto sauce over it.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Serve hot, garnished with extra basil if desired.
