- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and let it simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted and smooth.
- Toss the cooked fettuccine into the sauce, mixing well to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
