  4. Add eggs one at a time followed by buttermilk and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  5. Stir in blue food coloring until your desired shade is reached.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients; mix until combined.
  7. Pour the batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
