Ingredients
- 2 fresh tuna steaks (approximately 6 oz each)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and lime juice to create a marinade.
- Place tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Sear the tuna steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown but still pink in the center.
- Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the steaks before serving.
- Serve with greens or rice and drizzle with remaining marinade.
