- 4 cups Granny Smith apples (about 5 medium-sized), peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats (old-fashioned)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a bowl, toss the sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, and softened butter until crumbly.
- Spread the apple mixture evenly in the baking dish and sprinkle the oat topping generously over it.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
