Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients while pouring in milk until just combined.
- Stir in vanilla extract until incorporated.
- Divide batter between prepared pans and smooth the tops.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
